- ½ cup self-raising flour
- 1/3 cup plain flour
- 150 g butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- ¾ cup nuts (walnuts/macademia/almonds)
Method
- Preheat over to 180 C (350 F).
- Line 8 inch square pan with paper and brush with melted butter.
- Beat melted butter and sugar until light and creamy.
- Add eggs one by one, beat well.
- Add vanilla, milk and beat well.
- Fold in flour and ½ cup nuts
- Spoon into tin and top with remaining nuts and extra brown sugar.
- Bake 35-40 mins. Cool in tin.
