Caramel Brownies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup self-raising flour
  • 1/3 cup plain flour
  • 150 g butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ¾ cup nuts (walnuts/macademia/almonds)

Method
  1. Preheat over to 180 C (350 F).
  2. Line 8 inch square pan with paper and brush with melted butter.
  3. Beat melted butter and sugar until light and creamy.
  4. Add eggs one by one, beat well.
  5. Add vanilla, milk and beat well.
  6. Fold in flour and ½ cup nuts
  7. Spoon into tin and top with remaining nuts and extra brown sugar.
  8. Bake 35-40 mins. Cool in tin.
