- 125 g butter
- 100 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- ¾ cup self raising flour
- ¼ cup plain flour
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup pitted and chopped dates
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts
Method
- Preheat over to 180 C (350 F).
- Line 8 inch square pan with paper and brush with melted butter.
- Melt butter and chocolate in the microwave, sirring until smooth.
- Add sugar and stir until almost dissolved.
- Add eggs, beat.
- Fold in flour, cocoa powder, dates, nuts.
- Pour into tin and bake for 35 mins or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in tin and then cut in squares.
